Washington (Kubha News)- In an urgent session convened by the United Nations Security Council, Secretary General Antonio Guterres delivered a warning, cautioning that the Middle East teeters on the brink of a catastrophic conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The emergency meeting was prompted by Israel’s plea following a recent attack by Iran, heightening already strained relations in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guterres implored all involved parties to take decisive action to de-escalate tensions, emphasizing the grave threat posed to the people of the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The looming specter of a full-scale war threatens the stability of the entire region,” Guterres stated, urging both Iran and Israel to exercise restraint and pursue dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, condemned Iran’s actions, labeling the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist entity and advocating for measures to counter its influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
