Kabul (Kubha News) – A delegation led by Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs visited Kabul and discussed economic cooperation with Taliban officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to statement from the Taliban’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, Serik Zhumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, proposed the construction of a new railway network connecting Afghanistan and Kazakhstan via Turkmenistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This railway line will link Afghanistan with China and Europe through Kazakhstan’s railway networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although this agreement is in its initial stages, Kazakh officials have stated that a joint venture between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan will be established to implement this railway network project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Foreign Minister, and Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister have agreed to start direct flights between Kabul and Almaty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kazakhstan handed over Afghanistan’s embassy to the Taliban in April 2023. However, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified at that time that this action did not signify recognition of the Taliban government but aimed to expand economic and trade relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban has requested Kazakhstan to elevate Afghanistan’s diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan, but Kazakhstan has not responded to this request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kazakh delegation visiting Kabul includes Kazakh traders, investors, and officials who will discuss investment opportunities in mining, railways, energy, and governance improvement with Taliban authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
