Ankara(Kuba News)- Turkish authorities have intercepted a trailer in Amasya Province, Turkey, containing 40 Afghan individuals.
The trailer, with Georgian license plates, was stopped by the Amasya police’s money and contraband investigation teams, prompting a thorough inspection.
Upon discovery of the Afghan refugees, including a woman, the driver, identified as Shahmoos Guler, aged 50, faced legal repercussions, receiving a prison sentence after court proceedings.
According to police, The Afghan immigrants, after undergoing legal procedures in the police station, were handed over to the Immigration Department of Amasya province for deportation.
