    Aharon Haliva resigns due to failure to prevent “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm”

    Aharon Haliva, the head of Israeli military intelligence, is the first senior Israeli official to resign due to the failure to prevent a widespread attack by Hamas.

    Washington( Kubha News): The Israeli army announced on Monday that the head of Israeli military intelligence resigned due to the failure to prevent the unprecedented attack on October 7th.
    Hamas militants launched a surprise attack on Israeli occopied territory known as Operation Al-Aqsa on October 7th.
    The group fired hundreds of rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, but most of them were destroyed by the Israeli army before reaching their targets.
    This was the same attack that Israel openly cited as the reason for its initial operations in Gaza.
    Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, had not acknowledged his failure to prevent this attack, but Aharon Haliva, the head of Israeli military intelligence, announced his failure to prevent this attack today (April 22).
    In his resignation letter, he said: “The intelligence leadership under my command failed to fulfill the duty assigned to us.”
    Aharon Haliva is the first senior Israeli official to resign due to the failure to prevent this widespread Hamas attack.
