Islamabad (Kubha News) – Pakistan’s cabinet approved a plan on Friday to extend the validity of Proof of Registration (POR) cards for Afghan refugees for a limited period.

According to the decision, the registration cards for legal Afghan refugees will be extended from April 1st to June 30th, 2024.

According to Pakistan’s cabinet decision, Afghan holders of POR cards can continue sending their children to school and use their bank accounts and other social services.

However, following the recent decision led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the deportation of undocumented Afghan migrants will continue, and upon the expiration of the validity of POR cards, cardholders will also be sent back to Afghanistan in the third phase of repatriation.
