Sofia (March 09, 2024, Kubha News) The Para Taekwondo Committee of the International Taekwondo Federation announced that Zakiya Khudadadi, an Afghan taekwondo athlete currently based in France, secured the gold medal by defeating her Russian opponent and qualified for the Para Taekwondo competitions at the Paris Paralympic Games.
This Afghan taekwondo athlete participated in the Taekwondo Championships held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on March 8, where she competed along European taekwondo athletes and defeated her Russian opponent with a score of 16-14.
Zakiya Khudadadi wrote on her Facebook page that she dedicates the gold medal of these championships to Afghan women facing increasing restrictions.
