The head of CIA is in Middle East to facilitate the release of hostages from Hamas and establish a ceasefire in Gaza.

U.S. president Joe Biden, in his recent interview with MSNBC, stated that the effort is to release the remaining hostages held by Hamas and, in exchange, implement a six-week ceasefire in Gaza.

Biden said that he has clearly noticed to Israel that attack Rafah city is a “red line” because, according to him, attack on the city would result in the killing of thousands of Palestinians.

However, the President stressed that under no circumstances would his administration refrain from sending weapons to Israel.

Biden says that Israel’s attack on Gaza, in retaliation for Hamas’ October 7th attack, has not helped Israel’s security but has instead harmed it.
