Tehran (Kubha News) – During the signing ceremony in Tehran, Sarbananda Sonowal, the Indian Minister of Shipping, stated that by signing this agreement, India gains the opportunity to export its commercial goods via the transit route through Afghanistan to Central Asia and Russia.
The contract, worth $370 million, was signed with two Iranian and Indian companies. These companies will develop part of the Chabahar port to establish new facilities for exports and imports via rail and land from Afghanistan to Chabahar port and from there to India via ships.
This comes as the Ministry of Commerce of the Taliban government recently announced a trilateral agreement between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan to establish a Transit Hub in Herat province.
Through this hub, not only will the commercial goods of these two countries be exported and imported to South Asia, but Russian oil will also be exported to South Asia via this route.
