“In government offices, there is no work ethic; employees are divided into two groups (current and former). Taliban officials are tormenting former government employees, telling them they were America’s slaves for twenty years.” – A Former government employee

Kabul: (Kubha News) – After the fall of the republic, many former government employees continued their work in the Taliban government, but these employees have been suffering mentally for a long time.
Various sources within the Taliban government have told Kubha News that currently, in many government institutions of the Taliban, officials are behaving badly, unfairly, and against administrative laws towards former government civil servants, subjecting them to psychological torture.

A former government employee, who is still employed by the Taliban government on the condition of anonymity, told Kubha News: “There is no administrative ethics in government institutions; employees are divided into two groups (current and former). Taliban employees, and even officials, torment former employees of the republic era, telling them they were America’s slaves for twenty years. This situation is unbearable for many.”
Another former republic era employee who recently resigned from his position and is now jobless, told Kubha News: “Every day there is verbal tension between former employees of the republic era and Taliban staff, and they force former employees to leave their jobs. I couldn’t bear this harassment and abuse anymore, so I quit my job; now I am jobless, planning to start a personal business.”
He also expressed concern that day by day, unprofessional and illiterate individuals are replacing knowledgeable and experienced personnel in government institutions, and this situation may lead to chaos in government institutions.

Simultaneous with the collapse of the republic system in Afghanistan, many high-ranking officials and government employees, including former President Ashraf Ghani, left the country, but after the Taliban leader’s amnesty decree, many government employees returned to their duties.

Taliban officials apparently claim in meetings that, according to their leader’s amnesty decree, there is no difference between government employees, and everyone enjoys equal rights.
However, last week, their Minister of Justice, in response to criticisms from the leader of the Islamic Party, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, said that many people have left Afghanistan, and if he finds the situation difficult, he can leave too.
