Washington (Kubha News) – Dr. Naseem Baloch, the leader of the Baloch National Movement, has raised alarming concerns regarding the presence of ISIS camps in Balochistan, alleging direct support and collaboration with the Pakistan Army.
Speaking at a side conference of the Baloch Human Rights Council titled ‘Human Rights Violation in Pakistan: Balochistan in Focus’., Dr. Baloch asserted, “The camps of the international terrorist organisation Daesh in Balochistan are active, and they operate with the direct supervision and support of the Pakistani Army. This military force is deeply involved with extremist religious beliefs and is blatantly disregarding human rights in Baluchistan.”
Highlighting the historical backdrop, Dr. Baloch recalled the Pakistani army’s assault on Balochistan 76 years ago, stating, “76 years ago on this day, the Pakistani army launched a relentless offensive against Balochistan, forcibly occupying the land of the Baloch people. March 27 has since been marked as a somber anniversary, symbolizing Pakistan’s annexation of Azad Baluchistan and the suppression of our aspirations for independence.”
Dr. Baloch emphasized the strategic significance and secular values of the Baloch people, underscoring their potential as valuable partners in fostering regional stability. He asserted that a liberated Balochistan could contribute to peace and unity in the region.
These remarks come amidst heightened tensions as the Taliban government alleges a Tajik citizen, who purportedly entered Afghanistan through Baluchistan, as the perpetrator of a recent suicide bombing in Kandahar.
