Washington (March 4, 2024: Kubha News) The United Front of Afghanistan alleges that the leadership of this front are striving to reunite the armed forces of the previous government towards the goal they call “liberating Afghanistan from Taliban control”.
The leadership members of the United Front of Afghanistan residing in America, who were speaking at a gathering in Washington on Monday to commemorate ANSF Day at the office of this front, described the current situation in Afghanistan as worrisome and accused the Taliban government of violating the rights of Afghans.
Abdul Qayum Rahimi, a member of the United Front of Afghanistan and the farmer governor of Herat province, criticized the performance of the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, saying that despite understanding the nature of the Doha peace agreement, they did not stand firm against it, and that agreement led to the collapse of the system.
Mr. Rahimi claims that more than twenty thousand Afghans, the majority of whom are former regime military personnel, are detained and currently held in Taliban prisons.
“The information we have is that twenty-seven to twenty-eight thousands of our compatriots, majority of whom are our farmer colleagues are imprisoned by the Taliban. We will not forget them, we will return, liberate our homeland, and restore the rights of the people of Afghanistan.”
General Khushhal Sadat, another member of the United Front of Afghanistan, said at the ceremony that the leadership members of the front are working to consolidate the soldiers of the Republic outside the country.
General Sadat, without mentioning the name of a specific country, said that General Sami Sadat, a member of the leadership of the United Front of Afghanistan, has traveled to a specific country to facilitate the consolidation of former ANSF.
The claim of the United Front of Afghanistan regarding the arrest and imprisonment of former military personnel comes as Zabiullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Taliban government, on December 13 of last year, in response to similar concerns raised by members of the U.S. Congress, described it as “propaganda”, but some family members of former military personnel and human rights organizations have previously expressed such concerns.

Although the United Front of Afghanistan has not referred to a specific country for the consolidation of former military personnel there, all neighboring countries of Afghanistan except Tajikistan have said in regional meetings before that they do not support armed efforts for change in Afghanistan.
Although the United Front of Afghanistan was founded in America and its office is also located in Washington, Thomas West, America’s special representative for Afghanistan, wrote in a tweet upon returning to America after the Doha meeting that “his country welcomes the continuation of the Doha format and still supporting a process led by the United Nations to develop a roadmap aimed at integrating Afghanistan fully into the international system.”
